Good morning, Susan.

Ten o'clock,
telephone FAO Schwarz about the new twin baby dolls.

Telephone Mrs. Zaskey at the advertising agency.

Eleven o'clock, approve the sketches for the toy spaceship.
Where are they?
Right here.
Did you look at them?
Yes, I did.
What do you think of the spaceship?
I think the kids'll love it.
Would you show me the drawings, please?
Huh.
Now, what else is on the schedule today?
Well, at one o'clock
you have a lunch appointment with Mr. Levine,
the client from the Toytown Stores.
Where?
At Rossano's.
Hmm. Anything else?
At four o'clock,
you have a meeting with the production staff
in the conference room.
Make sure everybody is at that meeting.
Will do.
At six you're meeting, Mr. Ozawa.
Oh, yes. Are his models here?
They're in my office.
I'd like to see them.

Hmm. I can't remember.

approve： to say or write that someone's work is good; to say that something is OK. 批准，通过；同意。

examine： to look at a person (or a thing) closely, in order to fied out something. 检查，细查。
client： a customer. 客户。
production staff：生产人员。 A staff is a group of workers, or employees. a staff是指一群工人或雇员。 A production staff means a group of people who work together to make something. a production staff是指在一起从事生产的工作人员
conference room：会议室。conference：会议。
Will do. =Sure, I'll do it.我会去办的，没问题。This is an informal way to agree to do something. 这是表示同意做某事的口语说法。
models： small copies of objects. 模型。Before something is produced in large numbers, a model is usually made. 产品在批量生产之前，往往先做成模型。
Right.=I'll do it. 好的，行。 This is another informal way to agree to do something. People also say Right to agree with someone's idea. 这也是同意做某事的另一种口语说法。说“right”也可以表示同意别人的观点。
ought to： should. 应该。The informal pronunciation is awta. 口语说法的发音为awta。
What for?=Why? 为什么？
the simple things in life…：人生乐趣。 This phrase refers to simple things to enjoy, such as a good conversation, a beautiful sky, or a long walk. 这里simple things指的是轻松愉快的谈话，欣赏美丽的天空，或是散步。
smell the flowers：轻松一下。
the twelfth： the 12th day of the month. 每月的十二日。 To refer to dates, use ordinal numbers： first, second, third, fourth, fifth, sixth, seventh, eighth, ninth, tenth, etc. 在表示日期时，使用序数词。
probably：很可能，大概，或许。
film maker： a person who makes movies.电影制作人。
talented：有才能的。
eleven thirty：十一点半。 You may also say halfpast eleven instead of eleven thirty. 十一点半可以说 eleven thirty，也可以说 half-past eleven。
twelve forty-five： 12点45分。 You may also say a quarter to one instead of twelve forty-five. 12点45可以说成twelve forty-five，也可以说a quarter to one。
