  • I'd like you to meet…:
  • Come on in. = Come in.
  • I had never been there before. I had been a worker before I entered university.
  • I remember when I used to be a Girl Scout. I remember the time when I used to be a Girl Scout, 所以when引导的是定语从句。
  • would:经常。
  • in the toy business:从事玩具业工作。
  • manufactures:makes, produces.
  • in charge of:主管,负责。例如:She is in charge of the school.
  • marketing:selling and advertising.
  • I happen to:我碰巧……
  • We tested it last week on twelve-to fifteen-year-olds. “We tested it on them means “We tried it with them.”
  • they found it to be= for them it was…
  • shuffle the deck:to mix the cards.
  • lay:put, place.
  • face down:with the front side down.
  • face up:with the front face up.
  • using as many letters as possible:用的字母越多越好。as … as possible意思是“尽可能……”。
  • let's go around the table:让我们顺着桌子来(做这游戏)。
  • It's your turn. 与 turn 一起使用表示“轮流”的词组还有:take turns,get a turn, in turn等。
  • you're all tied:You all have the same score, ornumber of points.
  • additional:extra.
  • Michelle! Michelle.
  • I enjoyed lunch, Susan.
  • get going:to start to leave.
  • get going:to start to leave.
  • It was nice meeting all of you. It was nice to meet all of you.
  • in front of:在……前面。注意把这个词组与 in the front of区别开来。 in the front of意思是“在…… The teacher is in the front of the classroom. The teacher is in front of the classroom.
  • You are so wonderful with kids.
  • Isn't there a conversation that we have to finish ?
