If I had a child … ：(Rita Mae doesn't have a child. )假如我有个(像Max一样好玩的)孩子(事实上并没有)……这是一个虚拟语气的句子，从句if用过去式had，表示和现在事实相反。
custom-designed：designed for a special order.为顾客特别要求设计的；定制的。
fittings：If someone has a fitting, they try on a piece of clothing that is being made for them, to see if it fits. 试衣(单数为fitting)。
pricing：deciding about the prices of things to sell. 做价，定价（原形为price）。

a big market：many people with the desire to buy a certain item. 大市场(销售量大)。
expand：to make (the business)bigger. 扩大，发展。
