  • blond: light colored. 浅色的。 blond hair: 金色头发。
  • You are expecting a baby. = You are pregnant. 你快生小孩了。
  • We will be needing…我们将需要……这是一个将来进行式的句子,表示将要发生的事。
  • So you don't need something immediately? Thissentence is a statement in form but a question in meaning. 这句话形式上为陈述句,但加上问号后表示疑问的语气。
  • salary: fixed payment at regular intervals, usu. monthly, yearly, or weekly. 薪水。
  • savings: money saved, especially as in a bank. 存款,储蓄。注意,这个词当存款讲时,为复数形式。

  • It's a good investment. If you buy something andlater you can sell it for more money than you paid, then it is a good investment. 一项好投资。
  • Give my best to your parents. = Tell your parents that I give them my best wishes; say hello to your parents for me. 替我向你父母问好。
  • I'll give them your regards. = I'll give them yourbest wishes; I'll say hello to them for you. 我会向他们转达您的问候。
  • sheets: pieces of paper. 印刷物,单子。
