Hi, Grandpa.

Hand me two eggs from the refrigerator,

It's a perfect day for it--a little cloudy but nice and warm.
Dad and I were planning to go to the game,

hand：to give. 传递，给。
refrigerator：冰箱。
fried eggs：煎蛋。
bacon：It is salted or smoked meat which comes from the back or sides of a pig. 咸猪肉，熏猪肉。
enough for an army：很多，远远超过需要。Use this expression to mean that you have more than enough of something．说这话表示东西已经够多了。当然，爷爷并不可能真的做出供一支部队需要的熏肉。
You going…?=Are you going…?This is an informal usage. 这是一种在非正式场合使用的问法。
baseball game：棒球赛。
perfect day：天气极好。
cloudy：多云。
want to：想要。Robbie uses the informal pronunciation, wanna. 请注意，Robbie使用了一种非正式发音wanna。
anyway：不管怎样。Use this word to show that you think something is not important. Anyway usually begins or ends a sentence. 使用这个词来表示说话人认为某事并不是很重要的。“Anyway”常放在句首或句尾。
program：instructions on a disk to tell a computer what to do. 电脑程序。
Maybe you can…也许你能……。Use this phrase to suggest something for someone to do. 这个短语用于建议某人做某事。
work at it：to continue trying to do something. 练习，使用。
crispy：cooked so that it breaks easily. 脆的。
What are you doing tomorrow?=What will you do tomorrow? You can use the present progressive verb tense to refer to future plans．现在进行时可以用来表示计划中未来要进行的事。
Nothing much. =Nothing important. 没什么要紧的事。
Maybe…could…You can use this phrase to make a suggestion. 这是用以提建议的一种短语。
I really feel bad about it. 我的确感到过意不去。
children's ward：The part of the hospital where children stay. 儿科病房。
Maybe we can spend sometime together next weekend. 也许下个周末我们可以一起聚聚
fishing trip：外出钓鱼。
I've got to run. =I must leave right now. 我得马上走了。This is an informal expression. 这是一个非正式表达法。
Going fishing?=Are you going fishing?你是要去钓鱼吗？动词go也可与其他表示活动的动词的ing形式连用，如go running（跑步），go swimming（去游泳），go dancing（去跳舞）和go shopping（去购物）等。
think about=consider. 考虑，尤指计划，看它是否可行。
the usual problems：那些老问题。
We didn't catch anything. =We didn't get any fish. 我们一条鱼也没钓着。
Remember our fishing trips?=Do you remember our fishing trips?还记得我们外出钓鱼的事吗？
out of the boat：（跌）出船外。Philip says outa the boat. In informal conversation, people often do not pronounce the letter f in of. Philip发音时读成outa the boat。在非正式场合的谈话中，of一词中的f常常不发出声。
We had some good times together. 我们在一起度过一段美好的时光。
Maybe (we) should…也许（我们）应该……You can use this phrase to make a suggestion. 这是用来提建议的另一种句法。
Don't you have to work?=I thought you had to work. 你不去上班吗？（这是一个否定疑问句。）Use a negative yes/no question if you thought something was true, but now you have a reason not to be sure. 当你认为某事该如何而未如何时，可以用这种句型。
paper work：record keeping. 文书工作。
thrilled：excited and happy. 激动，兴奋。
I want to spend more time with Robbie. 我想多花点时间与Robbie在一起。
It'll be like old times. 过去的美好时光又要重现。You can use this expression about a future event that will be like a happy experience in the past. 当未来发生的某种事与过去的某个愉快的经历相似时可用这个句子。
What's the weather going to be like？天气会是怎么样？Use this question to ask about the weather at a future time. 这是一个询问未来天气情况的问句。
Radio says…=The radio says…广播说……Grandpa sometimes cuts the beginning of a sentence. Here, it is not correct to cut the article the. 爷爷说话有时将句首的单词省略。这句话中，冠词the是不该省去的。
sunny：晴天。
mild：not too hot and not too cold. （气候）温和，适中。
