charades：a guessing game. 字谜，猜字游戏。人不出声，用动作表演出一个名字、一个题目、或一个短语，由其他人去猜。例如，为了表示understand这个词，表演者可能要分别做出表示under 和stand两个词的动作。
Carl，you're sure you've never played? Carl，你肯定你从来没玩过吗？ This is a way used to verify an answer. 这是一种核对事实的说法。
join in：to do it with us. 参加，加入。

going on：happening. 发生。

My mother promised me a birthday party with a clown. 我妈妈答应给我举办生日庆祝会，并请小丑来助兴。promised me：agreed to give me. 答应我。
